STAR (Special Treatment and Recovery) Fund

ACC's STAR (Special Treatment and Recovery) Fund supports the treatment of many injured, ill or abused dogs and cats each year. Donations to the STAR Fund are used to pay for medical care that only a specialized facility can provide. Currently ACC is using STAR Funding to care for Hugh Jackman, a kitten who suffered burns over 40 percent of his body, including all four legs, his ears and his nose.
No one quite knows if these painful injuries came from abuse or a terrible accident. Hugh is currently at BluePearl Veterinary Partners, where he has been getting round-the-clock veterinary care for the past two weeks. Now the public is being asked to pass along any information about how Hugh might have suffered these injuries, and also to make donations so he can continue getting the best possible care.

Hugh Jackman will continue treatment at Blue Pearl until he is ready to go into an ACC Foster home that is already setting up for his arrival.
Anyone with information about what happened to Hugh is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS
