Chase's Foster Writes: Hello, my name is Chase and I am a gorgeous and energetic young boy. In my two years, I've spent some time on the streets, where I honed my intelligence and observation skills. I still love patrolling on walks, but I've decided it's time to find a forever home. I am extremely loyal, eager to please, and love ALL people. I have a lot of energy and my favorite sport is chasing my ball, but I will be excited about any toy you give me! I know that it's best to be respectful as a new member of the home, and will be very respectful of being invited places around the house, and I am housetrained and know basic commands like sit and stay. I'm still working on focusing my attention if I see a squirrel or bird who wants to play, but with some time and patience I know I will be walking like a perfect gentleman in no time! I am wary of other dogs, so I prefer to be the only four legged kid in my household. I am so eager to meet and spend time with you, and would love to be a part of your family. If you think I might be a good fit, please contact my foster team at fosters@nycacc.org. A volunteer writes: Chase is definitely 'my kind of guy', he's a lot of dog to love and gives it back in equal measure with hugs, kisses, and playful roughhousing galore. Fetching balls is his passion and he'll leap through the air or run them to ground like a pro athlete before rocketing back to your side to sit on command and wait for the next throw. He knows how to 'come' and will wait politely before mouthing reward treats from your hand and while his leash walking skills definitely require training to get him up to speed (or down, as the case may be!), he is smart and eager to please so with the right approach he has the potential to tone down his current reactivity to other pups when out and about. This bouncy boy has so much to offer a savvy adopter looking for just one guy to love, who'll go the extra mile to make sure he lives his best, most active, and fun-filled life possible. Gorgeous Chase is a dog for the large of heart, not the faint of heart, and he's waiting and hoping for a new family to find him, teach him, and love him forever.
