Domino appears fearful and anxious at the care center. He is often panting heavily and darting away from quick movements. While he allows some handling from handlers, he mostly avoids them. Domino came into the care center with a bite history. Last year, Domino was alone in the owner's apartment. A neighbor entered the apartment with a small child, who became frightened by Domino and ran down the hallway. Domino ran after the child and bit the child on the buttocks, releasing immediately and resulting in broken and torn skin and bruising. Domino is reported to react to dogs on leash, pulling towards them and barking. Domino has proven to be treat motivated, working with staff on learning verbal cues for "sit", "down", and "paw". He does these behaviors well for a hand signal. We are recommending an adult-only foster home who will go slowly with Domino and is prepared to work with his on-leash reactivity using positive reinforcement.

Hi I'm Domino! I think I was named after a game, or maybe it was pizza? I hope it was pizza! I really love treats and I'm really smart, I know sit, down and paw! I can be a little nervous around new people or in new places but I'm hoping to find someone who will work with me and give me the time and space to get used to new things. My previous owner said I was really gentle and Iove cuddling and watching TV, wanna be couch potatoes together? I'm looking for a rescue to find me a nice home where I can live with my new owner and snack and lounge all day!
