Jay wants you to know that he's a cat. He's not going to fall all over you when you first meet him. He's going to make you prove yourself worthy of his friendship. But the first time he comes and sits on your laptop, you won't even be mad that he closed all your browsers, because you'll be so proud of yourself for winning him over. Then you will see the side of Jay that only his friends get to see. The adventurous Jay, climbing to new heights. The silly Jay, trying to eat his wet food before you can even put it in his bowl. And the talkative Jay, telling you what you could be doing instead of sitting there bingeing Netflix (hint: it's probably feeding him). For more info on this fabulous feline, email adoption@nycacc.org. Jay's foster writes: Update on Jay (7/18/20) - Jay has decided to work on his Lap Cat certification. He has demonstrated proficiency in the following areas: sleeping on the bed with me, sitting on my lap watching tv after dinner, and letting me hold his front paws. He is in the process of completing his coursework in trying to type when I'm on the computer and sitting on my lap after breakfast every day. I predict he will achieve these milestones by Monday, given his work ethic and positive cattitude.
