  • Cat

  • Manhattan Animal Care Center

A volunteer writes:Sweet and shy, this grey and white, green-eyed, five-year old beauty, greeted me on my approach and allowed as how I could pet her head and cheeks while she happily kneaded her blanket (some say: "making biscuits"!). She enjoyed a few treats, but her main interest was not with those so much as with the physical attention. Could Lily be the female version of the Peanuts character, Linus, who LOVED his "blankie"? I moved her blanket away trying to get her to move forward a bit more, but she turned away and focused on the upper back corner of her condo! Rebuffed, I moved it back immediately, at which point she allowed that she was ready for re-upping our former petting téte-a-téte. Come meet sweet, shy, Lily at the Manhattan Care Center. She's looking for a calm, forever home and some gentle reassurance (treats anyone?) to encourage her to come out of her shell. She would also appreciate a nice, soft blanket to call her own! If you're looking for a sweet feline, come take a look at Lily and then take this green-eyed gal home with you!
