A staff member writes: When I first met Nova, I could just tell this girl knew her stuff! We were hanging out off-leash and as soon as I offered her treats she was so attentive and ready to please. She sat right at my feet and as I handed her a treat she gave me a solid high-five. She is a loving lady who appreciates attention but can also spend some time on her own. Her previous owner says "Nova loves to be outside and run circles in the grass. She likes to play with stuffed toys and balls. She also loves to fetch and tug." A volunteer adds: Nova has become the face I'm most excited to see at the shelter. She gets extra attention, a belly rub that lasts longer, and little field trips. In return, Nova has completely opened up and shown us the smart and loving girl she is. Where she was once quieter in our interactions, she is now overflowing with personality. Nova delights in affection, leaning in for neck scratches and closing her eyes in enjoyment. She wriggles around on the rare patches of grass near the shelter, happily feeling the earth under her body. She comes with us on a trip to get a snow cone and then insists it be hand-fed to her while she lazes about. The behavior team recommends Nova be a single pet in an adult-only environment. Let this girl show you her skills.
